Never Let Me Go

One day a little girl met a boy...

But they could never be....

Friends nor lovers....

She was a prisoner....

He was a prince.....

So they kept their friendship a secret....

Until the day when someone found out....

The boy was sent away but before leaving he shrieked a horrid cry....

"I PROMISE YOU I WILL NEVER COME BACK!"

Dismayed and alone the girl tried to hide....

But the kings men found her....

As the boy's carriage drifted away he heard his dear friend cry....

He looked up at the only lit window and saw a giant shadow swallow the smaller one....

Blood, so crimson and cruel, splattered the window....

And the boy knew and he cried.....

His dear friend had died.....

Killed because he couldn't stay away.....

But what he did not know was that she did not go into that permanent sleep....

No.....

She lived with scars that would never fade....

And would never again have a friend.....

Like the little boy who couldn't stay away......

And on nights like the night he went away......

Stormy with lightening brightening the sky.....

She cries and cries......

"I miss you oh sweet boy...."
