Hope

Hope

She was there… it wouldn’t change.

The kisses would never come again and love, well it was far behind her.
But there wasn’t any hate in her heart just the absence of love.

She was numb.

This day was one she knew that no one else would know of.
It wouldn’t be remebered.
She was an impact in the hearts of few; those affected were the wrong ones.
Why she was here.

All she did was love; a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Love answers to no one… but it answers to ideas.
One man owned her and all around her.
Ironic that she should obey to the one thing she always hated the most.
So she didn’t.

She never saw her home that night but rather the inside of a black bag.
Her love’s tears couldn’t change it.
Her regrets or their feelings.
Her last words?

“I love you Valerie”

She was your father. And your mother... your brother... your friend. She was you... and me. She was all of us.

That hope could never be killed.
She wouldn’t be remebered but she was a revolution.
