A Taste of Vengeance

Ashlynn Bane is an extraordinary mutant. Skilled in the highest forms of combat, not only can she read, invade, and control minds and objects with telekinesis, she is stronger, faster and has keener senses than any other human in the world- which is exactly why she, the Black Bane, is a perfect fit for the Avengers team. Ash, along with many others is called in when Loki attacks the human world unsuspectedly. Ash faces decisions she never thought she would face, and discovers things about herself she could never possibly imagine. And as if fighting the world wasn't hard enough, doing it with other heros bickering and fighting all the time does not make it easier, especially when something about the famous Captain America draws Ash to him.
Ash has never dared to let anyone in, but something about Steve Rogers and his sense of loss and courage just might break down her walls- that is, if they don't get killed first.
