The Police Station

The ride to the police station was spent in silence. Liam sat next to me, squeezing my hand - the only part of my body that was safe to touch - and whispering words of encouragement. Niall sat on my other side, nervously biting his fingernails, as Zayn sat in the passenger seat quietly and calmly.
It was astounding that he'd managed to stay so calm throughout everything.

We arrived at the police station soon after, and we were ushered into an interview room. They allowed Liam to sit with me as they asked questions, but Niall and Zayn waited outside.
As we were in Spain the two officers interviewing me were joined by a translator - a woman who seemed sweet enough.

Once I'd finished recounting what had happened and giving a description of the attacker - he said his name was Matt, he was tall with dark hair, he'd worn jeans and a blue t- shirt - I was taken to a small room on my own where they asked me to remove my clothes so that they could take pictures to use as evidence. I stripped down to my underwear, hoping to get it over with as quickly as possible.

Once my clothes were off the police woman gasped slightly, letting the poker face she had previously worn slip. I didn't say anything, instead listening to her instructions.

"Turn to the left." She told me quietly, so that she could get a picture of the marks where he'd dug his nails into me. I did as she said, ignoring the pain that shot through my body as I moved.
Eventually, she was satisfied that she had enough evidence and let me get dressed.

Liam was waiting impatiently outside, and he stood up immediately when I walked out.
"Are you okay?" he asked quickly. "I knew I should have gone in there with you!" he exclaimed. I sighed, continuing to walk out of the station. Liam rushed to walk next to me, whilst Zayn and Niall trailed slightly behind us, clearly tired.

"Liam, I'm fine. They said they'll contact me later, and I should just rest. I just want to go back to sleep." I told him, walking out into the crisp night air.
"Actually, that's not happening." Liam said quietly, and I turned to face im. He looked down as he spoke, as if he was afraid of my reaction.

"We're going to the hospital first. I phoned them earlier, we won't even have to wait to be seen." he told me. I frowned slightly.
"Liam, it's two o'clock in the morning. We can't go to the hospital now." I exclaimed.

"That's exactly what we're doing. This is your health Millie. It can't wait until the morning." he said firmly, leading me towards the car. I was just grateful that the paparazzi hadn't picked up on us being there.

Paul was waiting for us outside the hospital, a soft look on his face.
"Millie, I heard what happened. I'm so sorry." he said quietly, careful not to attract the attention of people waiting around outside the hospital.

"It's not your fault." I smiled weakly. "Um, listen - do the boys know yet? I mean, Harry and Louis?" I asked him.
"No, and it will stay that way as long as you want it too. Only Zayn, Liam, Niall, the police and I know" he smiled comfortingly before continuing. "Although I do advise that you tell Harry and Louis." he warned.
"I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon." I told him.

"Well, if you ever need someone to talk to." he offered and I smiled.
"Thanks, but I feel like I've done nothing but talk about it tonight. I think I just want to try to forget about it." I said quietly. Paul smiled anyway, nodding his head in understanding.

"Well, we've booked you a room, the doctor's just waiting." he told us, talking more to Liam this time.

Niall, Zayn, Liam and I stood in the lift in silence.
"You guys should go back to the hotel." I told them. Liam started to shake his head, but I cut him off.
"Listen, you're all exhausted, and all I'm going to do is see the doctor. I don't want to keep you up for no reason, I can get back to the hotel by myself." I told them.
"You really think I'm going to sleep tonight?" Liam asked, a determined look on his face. I shook my head at how sweet he was being.

"Regardless, Danielle must be wondering where the hell you are." I told him. He shot me a look, as if asking what he should tell her. I sighed slightly.
"Tell her what happened, so that she doesn't blame you for not going back. But do not tell the other guys. I don't want anyone else to know." I warned them, allowing Liam to wrap his arms around me as loosely as possible. Somehow, I managed to stop myself from wincing.

"We'll go back as soon as you've been examined." he promised. "I'm not leaving without you."

Eventually, we reached the room the receptionist had directed us to. After a quick examination, in which I was prescribed strong painkillers and recommended a therapist, we left the hotel. After convincing them that I was fine to walk to my hotel room on my own, and I didn't need one of them to sleep over in my room with me, I left the lift, beginning the short walk to my room.

I stood alone in the corridor for a moment, grateful for the silence. That was before I heard the moans coming from the room opposite.
"Mmm, Harry. Yes, yes, yes! Right there! Faster!" a girl was moaning, not so quietly, I might add. I sighed slightly, laughing to myself. I could always count on Harry to cheer me up.

I opened the door to my room, and without even bothering to undress, I walked over to my bed, collapsing onto it.
