Wolf Pack

I stopped the last tape.
“Can I leave now?” I asked, knowing the answer was no.
“After a few more questions.” The cop replied.
I sighed this was going to be a long night.
“Do you know these students?” he asked.
“Yes.”
“How?”
“I go to school with them.” These are pointless.
This is a small town of course I know them! There is only one high school in town!
“How well do you know them?”
“Well enough to know their stories. Enough to know how much their lives have been effected.”
“Do you hang out with them inside or outside of school?”
“Sometimes.”
“Answer the question.” He said threw gritted teeth.
“Yes I do.”
“Have you seen them since this happened?” He paced back and forth in the tiny room.
“Yes, I have.”
“How many times?”
“Everyday.”
One last and final question; why were you there that night?”
