Chapter Nine
the next day. . .
Tuesday
It was the end of the day and I was in gym. My last gym class for the rest of the year. In a way, that was good, but in another way, it was bad. Good, because I hated gym. Bad, because, starting tomorrow, I was going to have to start giving people a reason for my absence in last period.
"Ouch!" I yelped.
We were playing basketball, and I got hit in the head with the ball. I swear to god, I'm the biggest ball magnet in Forks.
"Sorry!" a girl yelled to me. I wasn't sure of her name.
I walked over to Coach Clapp, who was watching the game go on and didn't notice my approach. "Coach Clapp?" I asked. "I need to leave. I have a doctors appointment."
"Sure. I'll see you tomorrow." wrong. We'll, not completely. I would see him tomorrow, but just to give him my note.
I walked out of the gym and found Edward already waiting for me by his car.
