Cherub Wilkes has led a quiet, boring, and sheltered life. She's lived in the same house she was born in for 18 years and has not one friend but an old cat and her mom who doesn't even really count. Because of her rare neurological condition called Synesthesia that causes her to interpret sounds as colors, she has been kept generally away from the outside world to prevent sensory overload. She has never felt anything intensely in her life, no happiness, no sadness, no hate, no love, just a level of contentedness really. Following her 18th birthday, she set's off on a secret adventure to conquer her weaknesses and anxieties, let her curiosity get the best of her, and experience the world as she never knew it.
