Accidents Happen

Sorting Things Out

The prince's car was expensive, Victoria thought that obvious. The interior had plush black seat covers, an expensive looking radio and was surprisingly full of used drink bottles, McDonald's containers and other small pieces of rubbish, but there was something about it all that made her feel all the more comfortable.

"So, how's your day been so far?" Harry turned from the road to wink at her.

"Oh, yeah, it's been lovely and peaceful," she smirked at him.

He laughed and moved his hand toward the radio. "What music do you like?"

"Ed Sheeran," she said without thinking. "He's my mum's favorite singer, and she's converted me into a big fan."

Harry snorted and handed a silver iPod to her. "Pick a song; you'll find everything on there."

Victoria moved her finger over the touch screen, searching through his ample amount of music. Before she could reach her beloved Ed Sheeran, she came across a song called 'Slide' by a band called the Goo Goo Dolls, and she squealed. "I love this song! Me and dad used to listen to it together all the time!" She said happily, pressing play.

"It's a good song. My mum would have liked it too..." he trailed off, frowning at the road, before turning to smile at her once more. "You have good taste in music, though this Ed bloke is a bit iffy if you ask me."

Tori giggled. "He's like a big kitten, I swear."

"Oh? I suppose you've had the chance to cuddle him?" Harry raised just one eyebrow.

"Well, no. I haven't had the chance of cuddling him. But he sure is adorable. And ginger."

"Am I not an adorable ginger?" He pouted.

"Of course you're an adorable ginger!" She said, and before she could stop herself, "Quite a sexy one too."

THis time both of his eyebrows shot up and he looked smug. "Am I now? I'm sure this Sheeran guy isn't a sexy ginger. Is he?"

"Er, no. No he's not." She smiled up at him, blushing like mad.

"Ha, you think I'm sexy." He beamed, bopping lightly along to the music.

"I'm in the same building as the queen of England," Tori breathed, staring around the first room Harry had taken her to. She was only just through the front door and was mesmerized. "I can't believe this."

"It's not a first time, Tori."

"It's not? Wait, wait, wait. The queen was here last time?" she gaped.

"Naaaaah, she was in Canada!" Harry joshed in a cheerful manner. "Of course she was, she bloody lives here!"

"Oh..." Victoria frowned as it dawned on her how daft she was being. "Right."

The prince shook his head and started moving toward a steep staircase. "Are you going to come with me, or stand here like a codfish all day?"

Tori blinked and shifted her eyes from the detailed ceiling to Harry. "Yeah. Yeah, sorry. I just never got to really look around last time I was here."

"You'll have plenty of time now. I mean, you are going to be living here," he smirked and turned away to begin his climb of the stairs.

Victoria couldn't believe her eyes. The room she had been told she would be staying in was the most amazing thing she'd ever seen. "Oh, Harry. I can't sleep in here! This room is amazing, but I feel so much like an intruder!"

The prince spun her around to face him, keeping his hands on her shoulders as he looked into her eyes and said "You are not intruding. Please, just accept the room. Look at this palace! One room is not going to harm anybody, all right?"

Tori gulped as they stared into each others eyes. "Okay."

Harry closed his eyes for a moment, before he let her go. Damn! She had been sure he was going to kiss her.

"I'm going to go and speak to Gran. You stay here and get comfortable, and I'll be back as soon as I can." He said, moving toward the door. "This is your home now, however temporary. Make the most of it." He smiled before slipping out of the room, leaving Victoria with her thoughts.

What on Earth was that all about? He had looked so intense, she had been sure something would come from the moment. He, apparently had thought different. Or maybe he just wasn't sure where they could go as a couple. "What are you thinking, Tori? Get yourself together, this is the second time you've met him. He can't be interested in you, he doesn't KNOW you!" She scolded herself quietly as she unpacked her clothes and carefully placed them in drawers, or on hangers in her (temporary) enormous wardrobe.

Victoria decided not to pursue the matter. If something was to happen, it would. If it wasn't supposed to happen, it wouldn't. That was what she believed, and those beliefs were not going to change for some stupid good-looking prince. No, Sir! She would just have to wait. After all, no one can see the future.

I've already got more subscribers than my last story! Thank you all so much, and remember to comment and subscribe (only if you like it)! I mean, I've got over 100 readers but only 3 comments? If you don't like it, comment to let me know! That way I'll know what not to do next time!

It's also come to my attention that I've written 'Felicity' instead of 'Tori' or 'Victoria' at some point, but I assure you that it has nothing to do with the story, and was merely a mistake! I'm sorry.

Having said that, if something doesn't make sense to you... TELL ME! More often than not it's a mistake that I'll need to correct. Again, thank you so much!
