A Drabble A Day
Dylan: Rainbows
I was staring off into space when I saw him looking back at me from across the room. I had not been paying attention for several minutes, my eyes wandering around before finally falling on him.
Of course they did, they always fell on him.
Adrian was hot; he had all the looks, though not the personality. And he was sadly missing the right sexual orientation, but I could admire.
That’s all I ever could do, admire. Stare from far away, wonder absentmindedly what would happen, daydream and question everything. But, never act on any feelings. I never acted on my feelings.
I glanced away from him, giving a slight shake of my head to show I wasn’t really paying attention.
I turned my head slightly to stare out the window at the slowing rain.
Ms. Powell didn't notice my lack of attention.
No one ever noticed.
