I slammed my head into the tree in my front lawn. My wolf never listens to me when she's ranting.

'You know you're going to go into the heat soon since you haven't for two years while you were with the humans?'

"ARGH," I screamed.

"Krissy," my father called from the front door. "What's the matter."

"I hate life." I grumbled as I pushed past him.

"You're just saying that because you haven't found your mate yet."

"I don't want a mate," I replied, heading up the stairs. "They're annoying."

"You won't say that when you find yours. Oh, and The Alpha family is going to come over for dinner today."

"I'm going to sleep early today."

"My heat starts today."
