Open Your Eyes and Save My Life

I was young, really young but I remember the day I met him. I was four, Danny was eight, we were moving to Denver for my Mom's job.

I climbed out of my car seat and inhaled. The air was humid and I looked up to see a boy about my age, he had piercing green eyes and spiked black hair. He smiled and waved. I giggled, and waved back. Danny called me and I frowned before running to the house.

When I went back outside to grab my backpack out of the car, the little boy came up behind me and smiled.

"Hi." He spoke, softly.

"Hi." I say, looking down, twirling my long blond hair around my finger.

"I'm, uh, I'm Braden."

"I'm Delylah." I smile at him. "I have to go.. bye, Braden."

I walk inside and down the hall to my new room. I sit my back pack down and lay on the floor.
