In the September before he turned five, Nathan Mill entered Primary School.

He spent six hours at school each day, and those hours were a God send for Judy. She wasn't a religious woman but had often found herself blaming God for cursing her with a son. Henry had sense to avoid her for almost the whole day, opting to spend more time at work as the days went on and make excuses when it came to coming home late. By the time December of that year rolled around, their lives were woven with lies. It was also that time that the switch flipped and Nathan's life began a countdown.

He was a lovely boy at school, adored by his teacher because of how quiet and polite he seemed to be. She put it down to him being raised in a caring manner, never once knowing that it was due to him being ignored until the day his death came to light.

Ronan Wilkins became friends with Nathan on the first day, and they remained friends as they grew older and progressed into the higher years. And it was little Ronan Wilkins that first witnessed Nathan Mill's home life.
