Songs That Change People's Lives

Song #6

"Don't Jump" by Tokio Hotel.

I used to think about committing suicide a lot. As I explained before, I've been through a lot of rough times in my life. My depression got so bad that I would get high off of permanent markers, nail polish, and ink to ease the pain. I always felt disgusted with myself, but I'd do it again once the pain came back.

When my older sister introduced me to Tokio Hotel, I fell in love with their music. Their song "Don't Jump", however, struck home for me. "Don't Jump" was written for every person that has thought about committing suicide. The first time I heard it, I cried. I stopped getting high after that, and my suicidal thoughts stopped. If I hadn't heard this song, I would've been dead a long time ago.
