The God That Never Came

We sat in the room with Butayne as she laid there getting the blood she needed. Bandages covered her body where those monsters cut her repeatedly. I watched as he eyes began to flicker.

"Baby?" I said smiling and squeezing her hand. Her eyes slowly opened and she looked over at me.

"Matt?"

"Yes baby." I said kissing her cheek.

"Where are they?"

"The police arrested them. They're being charged with kidnapping and 2 counts of attempted murder." I explained smiling and she smiled as big as she could.

"What will happen?"

"I've got you a laywer and you'll need to testify about why they want you dead." I said and her smile faded.

"I can't."

"Sweetheart you have too. You want hem to go to jail don't you?" I asked scooting closer to her.

"Yes but...I don't want to be sent away."

"That won't happen. If they try to put you into another foster home, Sabrina is ready to sign anything she can to keep you here with me." I explained petting her hair.

"Promise me."

"I promise." I said smiling. She looked down at her chest and seen the bandages.

"They cut me pretty badly."

"Yes they did but nothing was damaged internally and that's really good." I said running my fingers through her hair.

"When do I get out?"

"The doctor said once yu get the blood you need, we can get you home." I saidkissing her lips softly.

"I love you Matt."

"I love you too baby." I pulled her closer to me and watch her slip back asleep. I can't wait to get her home because nothing will ever be able to harm her ever. I'll gladly give my life up for her to remain safe.
