I could fall for you.

I could fall for those eyes, like God's own; the very same, I swear. Pure and whole, the color unimportant. Just the way that they shine when you glance. The way they burst, bestowing a life, a significance, to all you look upon. Never mind the destruction which follows after they've turned away.

Never mind all that.

I could fall for your truths; the innocent things you say and simply are. The things which linger in the air like dust mites after you've gone and the universe begins to shrink back into itself.
I could fall for the echoes - I could....

break.

Open, I mean.

And I could shine - for you; for the whole world, even - just as you've shined for me.
Like diamonds we could be, you and I - falling from coal, and breaking into something new and beautiful,
if we would just collapse into each other like we're told to; follow the laws of matter and physics, and the Spirit.

Drop into brilliance, completion, and fulfilled things.

If I were to fall, and you did, too...
we could land in the End -

and wake to a Beginning.
