Only You Give Me That Feeling

"Wake up!" I heard someone said after a knock on my door.
"Go away Alana" I grunted and turned around, trying to fall asleep again.
"We're leaving! C’mon just say goodbye to the guys, it’s just Matt, Val, Brian and me. The rest is already at the airport” She said “Then you can go back to bed”
"Ugh, fine!" I said getting up of bed "I'll be out in five minutes" I got out of bed and looked for my luggage. I stayed the night at Matt's place. They said they had a spare room, so I took one of my suitcases out of Brian's place and spent the night here. I stretched my arms and headed to the coffee table where my small suitcase was lying. I grabbed my shorts, a white shirt and my ballerinas and headed to the door and quickly opened it, only to find Alana still standing there
"Oh no, you won’t" She said
"It'll only be five minutes, I promise" I said heading to the bathroom
"Stephanie!" She complained
"Five minutes!" I said and locked me in the bathroom. I quickly turned on the shower and jumped in.

After a 2 minute shower I quickly dressed myself and put my hair up in a pony tail. I sighed and began to do my make- up. I tried everything I could to cover up the fat lip, but it was impossible. I sighed and gave up. I walked out of the bathroom, only to find Alana standing there. “See? 5 minutes, I told you” I smirked
“Shut up” She complained “Hey Stephanie, are you sure you wa- who did that?” Alana said, staring at my mouth, she slowly began to frown. I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t want to tell Alana Michelle was the one who hit me, so I did the best thing I could think of, lie.
“It was an accident, Last night, Jimmy and I were messing around and he accidentally hit my mouth with his head” I shrugged
“Are you sure?” She said skeptical. I nodded “where were you last night, by the way?” she asked
“Brian and I ran out of gas, so we had to stay in the car for the night”
“Oh, bad luck I guess” She said staring at me, warmness in her eyes “Stephanie, are you sure you want to stay here?” She said serious. I nodded “C’mon, it’s early June, you know you Sloans always go to London in early June to see the rest of your family. Don’t you want to see them?”
“I do, Alana. I do want to see them, more than anything in the world, but I can’t” I sighed, remembering my family members, flashbacks of the last time I was in London popped up in my head “I won’t set a foot on an Airplane Alana, especially if it’s going to London” I said looking at my feet.
“Are you sure?” She said worried “You can always come back, you know it. It’s your family after all” She said
“I know, but I can’t, not yet” I said resting my head on the wall “Besides, the first place I’d go is New York, Not London” I paused as my voice began to shiver “I can’t go back home, Alana. I can’t see my family and realize they’re not there” I sighed and wiped out the tear in my eye before it fell down my cheek. I sighed and began heading downstairs. “So, what time are you leaving?” I asked changing the subject
“10:40”
“Hey! I thought you wouldn’t wake up” Val said coming out the kitchen “How are you?” She said staring at my lip.
“Fine” I said smiling “Jimmy hit me really hard this time” I said, she stared at me confused, not understanding what I was talking about. Once Alana walked out the house I turned to Val “I told Alana it was an accident, that Jimmy accidentally hit me while we were joking around” I said, she sighed and rolled her eyes “Please let him know that” I said, she nodded placing her arm around my shoulder, Val was a petite girl, but she was still taller than me. I laughed and walked out the house.
I saw Brian standing next to a cab, trying to put his luggage in the trunk and Matt and Alana talking next to the front door,
“Hey” Matt said smiling “I wanted you to have this” He said handing me a key “It’s my house key, you can sleep over thewhenever you want ” He smiled, showing his dimples. I rolled my eyes “Please” He said. I grabbed the key and put it in my back pocket.
“When are you leaving guys?” I asked
“Right now, actually we just wanted to say goodbye to you” Matt replied

“Brian! Thank god you’re still here” I heard an annoying voice say. I turned around and saw Michelle kissing Brian and walking towards us. Brian stared at us with his eyes wide open.
“What are you doing here, Michelle?” Val asked.
“Oh you silly sis, I have a ticket, remember?”She said kissing Val’s cheek “It would be a shame if it didn’t fulfill its purpose, don’t you think?” She kissed Matt’s cheek and stood right in front of Alana and me, her back facing us.
“Michelle, what are you doing?” Brian said once we was standing in front of us
“I’m going with you, dumbass” She replied
“You have nothing packed Michelle” Val said
“I know, I’m going to get some clothes there” She said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Brian” She paused “Where is she going to stay at?” she said staring at me
“What do you mean?” He asked confused
“Is that person going to a hotel or what?” She asked
“Michelle, she's going to stay here” Matt said getting angry
“But babe, what if she steals something?” She said making me laugh "She has our house's key, she could get in and steal something"
“What did you just said bitch?” Alana said
“Shut up okay. We have a lot of valuable things in there honey, she can steal something”
“Michelle, just go” Brian said, she was about to reply but he stopped her “Just go, now” he said pointing to the cab
“Fine. I love you babe” She said and kissed him. I turned away; I felt my heart ache a little bit. I sighed and acted as nothing was happening
“Steph, we really have to go, we have to be at the airport in one hour” Matt said “You know you can stay here for as long as you want” He said giving me a hug. I nodded
“I’m sorry for my sister’s behavior Steph” Val said once Matt let go of me “It’s okay, that was kind of funny actually” I smiled, she gave me a quick hug and she and Matt started walking towards the cab, hand in hand.
“If you want me to kick her ass, I will” Alana said.
“No, leave her alone” I said laughing “please be nice” I told her
“I will” She replied and kissed my forehead “I’m sorry for getting mad, you know I just want what’s best for you right?” I nodded “And what’s best is to finally face your family”
“Alana, stop”
“Sorry” I sighed “I don’t feel comfortable leaving you here alone, Steph. It’s the first time I go away without you” she said sadly
“It’s okay, you go have some fun. I’ll be okay. I promise” I smiled “Now go, they’re waiting for you”
“Bye, I’ll miss you” she said and ran to the cab.
“Here are my car keys, feel free to drive my car anytime you want” Brian said handing me his keys. I stared at him and then at his car, it was parked right next to Val's.
“Thank you” I smiled
“I’m sorry for Michelle”
“It’s okay, that one was actually funny” I laughed
“We’ll be back in 10 days”
“Brian, I know, you don’t have to worry about me” I laughed “I know how to take care of myself”
“I know” He sighed. He stared at me and wrapped his arms around my waist “I’m gonna miss you” he whispered in my ear
“I’m gonna miss you too” I whispered back. I smiled at him once he let go of me, he kissed my head and smiled back at my “I’ll see you in a while” he said and turned around, walking towards the cab.

Soon enough, the cab was nowhere to be seen. I sighed and walked right back into the house; I quickly walked into the kitchen and grabbed something to eat then headed to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and then headed downstairs, Igrabbed my purse and my cell phone and headed outside. I locked the front door behind me and walked towards Brian’s car. I jumped into the driver’s seat and put on my seat belt. I checked the rearview mirror and the wing mirrors were placed correctly and started the engine.

After a 20 minute drive I was already at the downtown, looking for a real state agency.
