Speak the Truth, Even if Your Voice Shakes

He’s lying to her. He refused to tell her about himself and his past, and most importantly he told her that he loves her. He told me the day after he took her virginity that he didn’t mean it. They had been dating for a week. She’s just a freshman.

But I still pity him, not her. He was (is?) my best friend in the whole wide world. I hate her. Even though I try to go against society’s ideas that it’s always the women who are sluts and the men only gain status by the girls they’ve fucked, I still blame her. He wasn’t like this before. My best friend would have never done this.

I should pity her. But I just miss him.
