Dear Brother

Thirty Six

Dear Brother.

Well, this is awkward, isn’t it? Me writing you a letter. It’s always been the other way around. We’ve had a pretty good run. Eighteen years, and all that. I just wanted to thank you for all that you’ve done for Hannah and I. I had no idea that you gave up so much for me… to be honest, I don’t think I’m worth it at all. You should’ve lived your life and been happy and stuff, but I guess I happened and you decided to take care of me. Thank you so much for that. When I move out, I’m going to miss you so much. Even when I kept telling you how much I hated you, I didn’t really mean it. I know it might’ve seemed that way, but I didn’t, I swear. You’re my one and only brother, and who knows, I might’ve even been dead by this time if it wasn’t for you. I wish I had so much more to say, but there’s not really much more to say besides thank you. So, I guess I’ll just say it again. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love,
Your brother, Matt
