Forever Feels Like Winter

Melanie Lee was nothing short of ordinary. With her pest of a younger brother, nice home, and safe neighborhood, she was raised in an average community and nothing more. No traumatizing events, no dramatic friendships, and most importantly- no thrill in life. Taught as a child to treasure the simpler things in life and ask for nothing less than normality, Melanie had expected her last few years in high school to be a cruise down the path that only required her to stay awake for the ride. But after realizing that her years are now limited by the disease that has been manifesting in her stomach, she runs away from home and joins a band of runaways in order to find the true meaning of what it is to be alive.

And most importantly, to find herself.
