Whatever, Dude.

Preface

I danced around on stage, singing the lyrics as I violently strummed the cords on my cherry-red electric guitar. It was time for my solo, and my guitar’s music blared loudly though the speakers of the club. Everyone cheered me on, making it all worth it.

Worth sneaking out while being grounded. Worth probably risking the great punishment known to mankind. Worth risking everything!

The drummer boy in our band started playing again, and we all practically screamed the lyrics to the song we wrote. As it ended with the drummer dude nearly breaking his drums, we all screamed one final time. It echoes through the now quiet club as we said our farewells.

I was panting from the rush of the spotlight, grinning at my fellow band mates.

“As, you totally killed it out there!” drummer-dude said.

“Whatever, dude.”
