The Great Escape

Silent Leave

“Izzy”

I was so pumped and ready to get out of here it wasn’t even funny. When I wrote in the journal, instead of writing down all my little feelings- well, instead, I wrote a nice little letter to the scientist, and hopefully soon they’ll read it.

It was almost two, and I was up before Holly even messaged us. We had to move fast, and Holly made a mental check on the cameras. If we stay in the darkest shadow, they won’t be able to see us, she mentally said.

That was when Bailee took over. Her sensitivity helped us stay in the shadow, until it was safe to move freely. We met up with the others, who came through without being noticed. Bailee took the lead, making sure to keep us covered from the cameras. No alarm went off, so we were good, and that didn’t help us to stay on our toes.

We came to an exit, and Bailee touched it, Shoot… She said.

What?

There’s an alarm on the door.

Cam- Jenna started.

He was there already, hand on the door, he pressed down and slightly moved it forward. He didn’t open it all the way, but he placed his other hand on the threshold, and his metal bending went to work. Got it. He said, opening the door slightly farther.

How did you know where the alarm was connected? Bailee asked.

I’ve done a few things in my life. He answered.

I grinned, now knowing that Cam was a bad boy made this little escape a lot more fun. Izzy, don’t get any ideas. Holly said, as we ran down the stairs.

We were on the twentieth floor, and not once have we come across the guards. I guess the budget didn’t worry about fire exits. I was tempted to jump over the railing, and land down farther. I didn’t, I wanted to stay with the group.

We got out of the fire exit, with the help of Cam again. We were on the first floor, and we didn’t know where the cameras were, but we knew they were there. Everywhere. Let’s just hurry, before they sound an alarm.

We saw the front doors, and Cam went to work to unlock them. We stepped outside, and even though we were free of the building, we still had to get distance. But there was one little problem.

We were in the middle of nowhere.

This is a pretty short chapter. Just some info i needed to share.

I changed most of the pictures I had for the characters. I hope it won't be a big deal for you, but the only reason I did it was so i could create some book covers for Mibba and FictionPress. :) And some more news, I am actually ALMOST done with this first book (I just need to get around in posting up the chapters). Only a few more chapters until then (I'm really excited about this too :])

Thanks for reading. It's highly appreciated. Also, when I get done typing this first book I'm going to go through it and edit it. So I guess technically what I'm putting up is just a rough draft. Either way, when I get done editing it, I'll come back on here and repost the chapters. :)

Also (just a little hint) the next book will be called Road to Nowhere :)

Yeee haww!
