A night to Remember

This whole time I thought she was the one for me.

loved her but I guess my love for her wasn't enough.

I went to the local pub to drink this memory away.

I walked into the empty place that was once packed and took the seat on the far edge.

"Is that you Harry?" I heard foot steps approaching near me.

I give a short smile and look up to respond "Yes Amery, its Harry"

"Well I haven't seen you in a while boy" he gives me his famous smile

Amery was a man in his mid 50s with darkish brown hair whom I've known for a very long time

"So what is it that brings you here my good ol' boy?" I knew he would have asked this

"I just came in to have a couple drinks you know the good ol' usual times" I responded as he sat my drink down and myself hoping he wouldn't ask the one

thing I really dreaded. But of course knowing my so called luck the moment came.

"Ahh I see, so how is Ashley? I assume its good very well as I saw the ring on her finger, so when did you pop the question?" his smile became wide

as he was waiting for his answer but of course he didn't expect what I was about to say.

"Well thats the thing, I didn't pop the question" I looked down and sip on my drink.

His smile slowly went to a drop and looked at me as to continue to help out what I had meant.

"Ashley has been cheating on me this whole time with the one and only Evan" Just saying this hurt me more

Ashley always said she loved me and I was her one and only but now I wonder if she ever meant it.

Of course she never meant it because if she did, then none of this would have never happened!

"I'm sorry to hear this Harry, I should have never brought it up..." I stopped him before he continued with his whole

Sympathic speech.

"Its okay Amery, you didn't know about it"

Just then a couple of people walked in and called for Amery's attention. He looked at them and signed them a minute.

"Sorry Harry but I'll be back is that fine with you?" he gave me a weak smile.

"Its okay, I think I need a moment with myself anyways" he looked at me to make sure I was fine

I smiled to show I was fine by myself, he walked away to help the group.

Moments later I had already drank double more than what the group had. And by the time Amery thought I had enough and sent me home.

But of course I wasn't going to go home, as that was the place that everything occured.

I stumbled on the foot-path and ended up falling flat on my arse.

I didn't bother with trying to get up, I just wanted to give up on everything right now.

Out of nowhere a striped cat came along and sat next to me and meowed at me.

"Well hello there Mr. Cat , what brings you here? Did you get cheated on too?"

The cat just stared at me and blinked at me confused.

"You probably don't understand me huh?" the cat just meowed at me again

"You probably want to be petted right?" just then it looked like he nodded, so I start to pet him.

"My girlfriend cheated on me Mr. Cat " he looked at me with a sad look and processed to lick my hand.

I smile at him "thanks I really needed that" and I continued to pet him as he purred.

"I never knew she would have done this to me, I truly loved her and it hurts me to say loved" he sat there listening to me

"I did everything for her, everything she wanted me to do! I even stop talking to all my friends!" anger was crawling through my body.

"I even left my cat at my old roomate's house because she "allergic" which I really doubt it!"

I start to remember the moment I walked into the house and caught her.

Flashback.

I'm finally going to see my wonderful girlfriend, I'm going to kiss her so much and hold her forever.

Its good to finally be back from visiting my mum's.

I really missed her! I texted her that I will be there in a bit but she didn't respond.

Come to think about it she hasn't responded to me all day today and last night she didn't even call nor text.

Maybe she busy and preparing for my arrival.

On my way there I bought flowers for her and a box of her favorite candy.

I stood in front of the door to our flat we own together.

"Ashley I'm here" As I opened the door not expecting to see what I was about to see.

My smile dropped as I also dropped the box and flowers.

"Harry its not what it looks like! I swear!" she yelled at me as she covered herself and he stood there behind her.

"Harry please listen to me!!" I didn't want to listen to her explantion about this, it was clear what was happening.

"Save it I don't want to hear it. Don't bother contacting me" I walked out as I heard her yell out my name to come back.

"Mum you were right about her. I was so foolish to not believe you. I'm sorry" tears rolling down my cheeks

" Harry theres no need to apologise about her actions" her voice made me feel safe from everything.

"Mum but I had not listened to what you had said about her and everyone else had said the same" tears were now pouring down even more

I have never thought she would have done this to me but everyone had told me that she wasn't what I thought she was.

"Harry, son listen we all forgive you its not your fault okay. I need you to not do anything foolish okay?"

I can't be forgiven for I had cut out everyone from my life the moment they had said something bad about Ashley

Even my best friend Ella

"Mum I know for a fact that Ella would not forgive me" I had let Ashley bad mouth her the day I was moving my things from my old flat

Ella stood there letting her and just stared at me as if waiting for me to protect her but I just walked away.

"She does forgive you , she knows it wasn't you're fault" I looked at the pub where Ella and I went for a hang out

"Mum I gotta go okay I love you" I hanged up before she said anything else and walked into the place.

End Of Flashback.

"I'm such an arse aren't I?" the cat just looks at me

" I'm just not worth it, I should just ended it now" a tear rolls down my left cheek

"Everyone probably hates me for not listening to them"

"No one cares for me , I'm really pathetic" the cat meows at me and rubs against my arm

"Harry!!" I turned and see a girl walking towards me and the cat "Harry Styles is that you there?" I get up

"Uhm yes its me Harry Styles" I answered unsure if I should of and she got closer and that when I saw it was Ella. Ella??

"Geez I've been looking for you all over the damn place! I was worried I wouldn't be able to locate you" she smiled at me

"Ella is that really you?" I was unsure if it was really her

"Harry of course its me who else would I be, were you talking to a cat?" I then remembered about the cat but he had already left

" Where did he go??!" I start to panic for the cat

"Relax Harry the little girl got him"

" What do you mean little girl??" I looked at her confused

"His owner just came and got him , she been looking for him everywhere , I had bumped into her and we started looking for you and the cat,

not knowing you two were with each other the whole time"

"oh uhm okay then so why were you looking for me anyways?" I look at her

"Your mum called me when I went to your flat and she said that you had hung up on her and was worried"

"You went to my flat?! why?!"

"I went to see if I could talk to you about having our friendship back, but Ashley only shut the door on me, Evan was there too" she looked confused about it

"I guess she doesn't care about what happen" I look away from her

" What happen? Why do you say such a thing?" she puts her hand on my cheek and whips the tear away from my face

"Ella , Ashley cheated on me with Evan and I guess they're even getting marry" She pulls me into a hug

"I'm sorry Harry" I hug her back gripped on to her

"Its okay Ella its not your fault, I guess she just wasn't the one for me" I look into her hazel eyes

"One day you'll find the perfect girl for you" she smiles and looks at me with a cheerful look

Just then it starts to rain and I continued to look at her and I smile at her for the first time since the day went bad

She made me feel so joyful , she always did.

"Well are we going to get out of this rain or what?" she said with a playful tone

"Way to ruin a friendship moment" I joked back at her

she laughs "Well come on lets get out of here, besides I know someone who would be really happy to see you again"

I let go of her and held her hand as we walked back to our old flat , I finally get to see my cat

"I'm glad you're here for me after everything that happen" she smiles at me

"Well thats what friends are for Mr. Styles"

This day had went from the worst to the best day of my life and all there is to do now, is to move forward.
