The story is set in the 1950's, 1952 too be exact. In England, South West Wales.
Where anyone could buy or sell anyone for a small price,
Where the liquor was cheap and strong,
Where the women were strongly enforced to be typical trophy wifes who would continue their legacy by marrying their well mannered sons or daughters too other well mannered sons and daughters.
This place in which neither James nor Spencer fit in and somehow with each other it was as if they did not need to fit, but incredibly enough they could not be together for love and righteousness where two far islands in which neither could swim close enough too without gasping for air
...and air was not cheap in these times.
