Prologue
Prologue:
The sound of my bony fingertips hitting the keyboard filled my otherwise silent bedroom. The bright computer screen reflected gently off of my raven colored hair and grey-blue eyes, and casted a dark cloak everywhere else in my room. I had finished editing the bio to my Facebook page. I could go to bed.
When I went to logout, a notification box appeared on the screen. It read 'Alexander Defeo added you as a friend.’ Hmm, I thought quietly to myself. I clicked on the boy’s name to see his profile. The first thing I noticed was his profile picture. It showed a tall lanky boy, wearing a turquoise beanie.
"
This boy is cute," I murmured softly. After skimming through his profile info I accepted the request.
I slowly wondered if I would ever be able to get to know him after I logged out of my Facebook and flopped down on my bed. Through my window the full moon was glowing vividly and was reflecting upon my upturned, heavily scarred wrist.
He probably wouldn't even think twice on a person like me. I bleakly thought as I fell asleep.
