The Monsters Inside Us

Monster's Inside Us

Prologue

I've always imagined my life as something more. When I was little, I always imagined growing up, being rich with a big, beautiful house and family. The older I get, the more I realize; for people like me, dreams don't come true. One day, I'm losing teeth hoping the tooth fairy will come and leave something under my pillow and maybe, just maybe, I could see her one time. It never happened of course, but just that hope, that little hope that magic is real. When you're a child, there's also a fear that there's something more out there. Monsters under your bed or in your closet, but you're parents can always come in your room and save you, they can look under your bed or closet and scare the monsters away. When you get older, the magic is gone but one thing stays; the monsters they are real. They live inside of us, and sometimes they win.
