Fight for You

“Catch you later Skye,” Bek called from outside the changing room as I mumbled a quick reply back to her while pulling my shirt over my head. I had just finished my last class for the day. I had performed my dance for our last assignment, before the holidays, which I was quite grateful for. I had showered and got changed before heading out of the rooms towards the entrance of the building searching for my phone the whole time. I bumped into someone through my search.

“Oh shit, sorry.” I said looking up. “Harry!” I exclaimed shocked to see it was Harry who I had run into.

“Hello love,” he said pulling me into a hug as I quickly hugged him back.

“What are you doing here?” I asked completely confused.

“Well we all arrived at your house and Paige told us you were at College and that you catch the train home. So I thought I would be nice and come pick you up.” He said smiling at me as I tried not to hyperventilate right in front of me. He really needed to stop smiling and stop using that accent.
“Thanks, but you really didn’t have to,” I said as we walked out of the building together and headed towards the car park.

“My pleasure, how come you didn’t drive?”

“Oh the time I came this morning there would have been too much traffic around the area so I just caught the train.”

“What exactly do you do?” He asked eyeing my still wet hair.

“I’m doing a degree in both Business and Dance.” He raised his eyebrows at me, like most people do when I tell them my two choices.

“I get the business side because you own a cafe, but dance?” he asked as I laughed.

“I actually want to become a dancer. I do business because of the cafe and it’s something I can fall back on if dancing doesn’t work out for me.”

“I would love to see you dance,” Harry said to me sweetly as he opened the passenger door for me. I couldn’t help but smile at his chivalry.

“Maybe,” I said before sliding into the car. I was a little shy about my dancing. I loved performing in front of people. But those people were normally complete strangers coming to watch a show. I get extremely nervous when I perform in front of people I know; I barely let Casey and Paige come to watch any of my shows.

Harry smoothly pulled out of the car park and I couldn’t help but stare at him out of the corner of my eye. I didn’t want the feelings I had for him because we didn’t even start talking until yesterday and I only just got out of a relationship. It was stupid to have feelings for him right now; he was also an international superstar, what were the odds that he even liked me back. We sat in comfortable silence the short ride back to the house and I thanked him as we jumped out and headed through the open front door.

I wondered out the backyard with Harry to be greeted by four soaking wet boys running around the pool.

“Hey Skye! Come on Harry were gonna play a game!” Louis shouted over as he jumped into the pool and Liam did a back flip in afterwards almost landing on Louis. I saw Eleanor and Danielle wince at how close their boyfriends had almost hit one another. I said hi to the girls before quickly dumping my stuff in my room and getting changed into a more comfortable summer dress.

“Hey do we even have food for dinner?” I asked Paige and Casey as I joined them at the table set up outside near the pool.

“Yeah we went shopping today. How was class?” Casey asked.

“The usual,” I smiled at her. “What have you all been up to?”

“Just sitting here watching the boys play, the question is what did you and Harry get up to?” Eleanor asked me with a glint in her eyes.

“What do you mean?” I asked confused. “He just picked me up?”

“Oh yeah I’m sure that’s all you did.” Casey implied rolling her eyes at me as I felt my face heat up quickly.

“YES, that is all that happened!” I said playfully glaring at Casey as she glared back.

“All we’re saying is that the boy was pretty eager to pick you up and spend some time alone with you.” Danielle added with a smirk making my face turn even redder, if that was even possible.

“Right well maybe we should start preparing food.” I said before jumping up and heading into the kitchen as all the girls followed. We all started to prepare the salads as Paige turned the barbecue on.

I headed outside with the food for Paige to cook and saw all the boys wrapped up in towels on the chairs with some beers.

“Hey isn’t that supposed to be the man’s job?” Louis asked as Paige and I put the food on the barbecue.

“When you see a man around let me know,” Paige replied as I laughed loudly. Louis instantly jumped up and headed over puffing his chest out.

“Never fear my fine ladies, a real man is here.” He said pushing us out of the way and continued putting the meat on the barbecue as Paige and I rolled our eyes at each other and headed back inside.

“Do I look like a sexy Aussie bloke,” Louis called out to Eleanor in a horrible Australian accent, as we brought the salads out, he then proceeded to pull a horrible pose making us all laugh. He pouted as Eleanor walked towards him and gave him a sweet kiss, making him smile once again. I couldn’t help but smile sadly at the cute display of affection; it was times like these that I actually missed Tyler. Someone’s hip bumped against mine snapping me out of my trance. I turned to see Harry smiling at me as he started to load his plate with the food we had prepared. We all sat down around the table talking loudly and eating happily. I couldn’t help but feel a bit sentimental about this moment. I really didn’t want it to end, I only met these people a few days ago and I think I was already in love with each of them. They were so sweet and funny and you could tell they just loved life. I tried not to remind myself that they would be going back home soon and I probably wouldn’t see or hear from them again.

The doorbell rang causing everyone to go quiet and look over curiously as Casey jumped up to get it. When she came back she was walking hand in hand with a tall blonde headed boy who was smiling down at her sweetly.

“Everyone this is Cody,” Everyone introduced themselves as the boys all took turns in shaking his hand. He walked over and gave Paige and me a quick hug before helping himself to the food.

After everyone was finished I started to clean everything from the tables and take them inside as the girls all followed me in to help clean up. The boys all stayed outside chatting with Cody. They seemed to be getting along great with him. Once we finished cleaning we all decided to watch a movie as everyone clambered into the entertainment room as I made some popcorn. I was extremely tired and just wanted to go to bed but I didn’t want to be rude.

I walked into the room and saw everyone sprawled over the couches and the floor. While deciding where to sit Harry quickly squished closer to the edge of the couch so I could squeeze between him and Eleanor with Louis on her other side. I smiled sweetly and sat down while receiving a nudge and a wink from Eleanor only making me blush. The movie was started and I settled myself more comfortable into the couch. At some point throughout the movie I could feel Harry shifting next to me as his arm went up around the back of the couch. I tried to ignore it but suddenly all my senses seemed to go haywire and all I could focus on was the warmth spreading through my leg starting where my thigh was touching his thigh and the smell of his intoxicating cologne. I could see out of the corner of my eye the way his chest moved up and down as he breathed deeply and the way the TV was slightly reflected in his bright green eyes. His eyes suddenly turned to me as I snapped mine forward and payed more attention to the movie.

Eventually I felt my eyelids start to close as I tried to keep them open. I slowly started to lean my head to the left as my head met a shoulder. The moment an arm wrapped its way around my shoulder I had fallen asleep.
