Another Night, Another Score

As The Blue Lights Bathed Our Smiles

Jacks P.O.V.

The sun streamed through the thin curtains the next morning, making Jack squint and hold his hand up to attempt to block the rays. It took a moment for Jack to gather his thoughts, as when he had woken up he felt oddly disorientated.
When he flung his arm to the side it came into contact with his sleeping boyfriend, and all memories of last night came flooding back. He grinned stupidly to himself, feeling cheesy for allowing the butterflies to erupt and take over in his stomach. But he couldn't help it.
The feeling of pure bliss and happiness when Alex had told him that he loved him was enough to make the grin on his face pretty much permanent. Looking over, he saw that despite being whacked in the stomach with Jacks arm, Alex was still fast asleep.
His lips were parted slightly, and his hair was spread out over the pillow. His chest rose and fell slowly, and Jack noticed around seven hickeys littering his collarbone area, making Jack blush as he remembered exactly how those hickeys came about.
Around fifteen minutes later Alex still hadn't woken up, and Jack was beginning to grow impatient. He briefly considered getting up to get some breakfast, but he shot that thought down quickly. For some reason he wanted to be here when Alex woke up.
Half an hour passed and Jack couldn't take it anymore. He had been fidgeting for the past twenty minutes, and the boredom was starting to get to him.
Deciding that he needed to wake Alex up before he went insane, he snuggled into the side of him, pressing his lips very gently to different areas of his neck. Letting his mouth trail over to Alex’s chest, he placed light kisses on every angry red hickey on his chest, smiling as he heard Alex begin to stir.
He grinned when he felt Alex’s hand run lightly through his hair, before tugging it lightly signalling that he wanted Jack to look at him. When they made eye contact Alex blushed, and pulled Jacks body down so that he was lying on top of Alex, with their arms wrapped around each other.
Rubbing his eyes cutely, he kissed Jacks lips softly, before pulling away and smiling sweetly.
"Morning baby."
"Morning gorgeous. I've been waiting for you to wake up for ages."
There was a joking whiney tone to Jacks voice as he spoke, making Alex coo and pinch Jacks cheeks mockingly.
"Sorry, but I needed the sleep. You wore me out last night."
As he spoke the last part of the sentence, he winked making Jack go bright red and bury his face in Alex’s neck.
It was true though, they had worn each other out. Last night had been amazing to say the least, partly because it had been far too long since they had been together like that. The word that could be used to describe it would be perfect.
Jack sighed happily as Alex traced his fingertips up and down his back, until Jacks stomach growled loudly making Alex laugh and press his lips to Jacks dark hair.
"Come on, I'll make you breakfast."
"Wow this is different, you've never offered to make me breakfast. Like, ever."
Alex stuck his tounge out childishly at Jack and pushed him off his body so that they could get up, both of then pulling on a pair of clean boxers before leaving the room.
On the way down the stairs Alexs hand moved down to grab Jacks bum, squeezing it lightly, making Jack squeal and Alex laugh. They hadn't had the opportunity to joke around and be lighthearted like this for a while, so it was a relief to finally be able to spend some time together.
They stopped at the bottom of the stairs, and Alex grabbed both of Jacks wrists pulling his body close to his own.
They stood there in each other’s arms for about 5 minutes, Jack breathing in the comforting and familiar smell that was Alex. Mainly apple shampoo, but with another kind of scent underneath. A smell that could only be described as Alex. A smell that brought Jack comfort, and was the reason he couldn't sleep without having Alex next to him anymore. The reason Jack preferred to wear Alex’s clothes rather than his own, and the reason he would put on one of Alex’s t shirts after they argue.
It was odd how just the smell of him could make Jack feel a hundred times better, if not kind of creepy. It was something that Jack would most definitely be keeping to himself.
The dependency that Jack had on Alex was scary - there was no way he could imagine his life without him anymore. Every thought that passed through his brain was somehow related to Alex, and every time he was alone Alex was the only person he missed.
They had been stood hugging in the corridor for about 5 minutes, and Alex pulled back, but had his arms wrapped around Jacks waist tightly still. He was just staring at Jack, smiling widely. Beginning to feel slightly self-conscious, Jack removed one hand from around Alex’s neck to smooth down his hair.
"Does my hair look a mess or something?"
He asked Alex frowning, still attempting to flatten his bed hair. Alex laughed and touched the tip of his nose to Jacks, before kissing it lightly.
"No no, it looks fine."
He was still staring at Jack and smiling, causing butterflies to erupt in Jacks stomach.
"Then what's with all the staring?"
His tone was of mock annoyance, but secretly Jack was loving the way Alex was looking at him. Alex said nothing, just carried on with the staring. After about 20 seconds of silence, he looked Jack dead in the eye before speaking again.
"I'm staring because you're sexy."
Jacks cheeks immediately flushed bright red, and he buried his face in Alexs neck in embarrassment. Alex was laughing loudly, and started to run his fingers through Jacks hair encouraging Jack to look at him once again.
"Do you have any idea how easy it is to make you blush?"
Jacks cheeks flushed red once again for the second time in around a minute, making Alex chuckle and smile fondly.
"You're so cute. I love you."
Now it was Alex’s turn to blush. Jacks heart skipped a beat at the words that left Alexs mouth, and the grin on Jacks face couldn't possibly get any bigger.
"I love you too."
Zack chose that moment to come bustling out of the kitchen loudly, and grimaced before going slightly red at the sight of them. Jack realised that he should probably feel bad for keeping him up all night, but the things Zack had said to his Alex justified his lack of sleep.
Though he looked embarrassed still, Jack couldn't help but notice the way Zacks eyes trailed up Jacks boxer clad body.
Alex looked just about ready to rip his head off. He had obviously seen the way Zack was checking Jack out, and he looked like he was about to pounce. Thinking fast, Jack grabbed Alexs hand and kissed it, before pulling him towards the kitchen.
"Breakfast now?"
Alex nodded, annoyance still clouding his eyes, and allowed himself to be dragged into the kitchen, where Jack shut the door behind him.
Now that Zack was out of sight, Alex relaxed visibly, and leant against the counter shaking his head.
"I know he's your friend and everything, but that dude pisses me off so much."
Jack looked at him sympathetically, and walked over to where Alex was stood with his arms folded.
"He'll be gone soon; he just needed a place to stay for a few days. Although admittedly, he is pushing it a little now."
Alex sighed and ran both his hands through his own hair, before yawning and turning round to look through the cupboards. Jack took this opportunity to admire him a little bit, letting his eyes wander over his body, taking in every little detail.
The dimples at the base of his back, the attractive and slightly feminine curve of his hips. The way the muscles in his arms flexed when he reached up to get something out of the cupboard.
He turned around suddenly, and caught Jack staring at him. He smiled sweetly, before walking over and pressing a short kiss to Jacks lips.
“There’s absolutely nothing to eat here. Wanna go out and get something instead?”
Alex’s eyes were shining due to the fact that he had caught Jack checking him out, and Jack grinned stupidly before pulling Alex closer, unsatisfied with the short kiss a moment ago.
Their lips moulded together perfectly, and their bare bodies pressed tightly together made Jack sigh happily. Their tongues rubbed together slowly and sweetly, with neither of them invading the others mouth, just keeping it innocent and loving.
When they pulled apart Alex mouth was hanging slightly open, he had obviously not been expecting that. Not even giving him the chance to recover from their intense kiss, Jack started to walk out of the room.
“Yeah let’s go out, although I think we both need a shower. We should probably take one together to save water right?”
Alex’s face lit up, and he was out of the door so quickly that Jack barely had time to register it. Sighing happily, Jack followed Alex up the stairs where Alex already had the water running.
