Wish I Stayed

but with my eyes closed all i see

Liam brushed past Clarissa without a word. He shouldn’t be involved with her anymore because he didn’t deserve her. He had left her in the apartment sobbing and crying. She had a baby, and she couldn’t contact him at all, and that just proved how terrible he was. He felt him take in a shaky breath as he reached to run a hand through his hair. “Liam,” she murmured softly, and he couldn’t help but turn his head slightly back. She was standing behind him biting her lip as she stared down at the ground; her hair falling into her face lightly. “I’m sorry about all of this,” she murmured softly.

He felt his heart break at her words since he knew she was truly sorry. He felt himself pull his bottom lip between his teeth before he muttered out, “It isn’t your fault, Clarissa. I started this mess, He slowly turned his head back and continued his walk back to his apartment. He hung his head lightly with his eyes towards the ground, and his breathing soft. His heart ached for Clarissa to be back in his arms and her lips on his. He wanted to taste the wonderful strawberries off her lips, but she wasn’t ever going to come back because she had someone else who would care and love her as well as Bella.

“They will be perfect for each other,” he whispered to himself, and he felt his eyes fall closed before he opened them to find his apartment along with a red haired girl leaning against it. His eyes widened slightly in recognition, and he furrowed his eyebrows. “What are you doing here, Abigail?” he asked with a raise of an eyebrow.

Abigail was Clarissa’s best friend, and she had miraculously found him walking on the streets a few months earlier. Since then, she would occasionally pop up and say rather rude things or say recent news about Clarissa and such. He was surprised she hadn’t mentioned the engagement to his band member at all. “She’s getting married in two weeks.” There it was. The week it was going to happen, and Liam hadn’t wanted to know that at all. He just wanted to stay out of their lives, and he was even thinking about moving to London to get farther from them. Wolverhampton could be pretty small, hence the moment earlier.

“I know,” Liam muttered as he ran up the steps to the second floor. He could hear Abigail closely following. He could never make out if she hated him for hurting her best friend or was just neutral about it.

“Aren’t you going to do anything?” she asked as she pushed open the door and stepped into it after he unlocked it. His eyes flashed to her, and he couldn’t help but give a sad smile as he slowly shook his head.

“I can’t do that, Abigail,” he shrugged off his coat and just dropped it onto the ground before he began his way around the mess he called home. “She doesn’t deserve someone like me who is a pessimistic and a downer and just horrible. I’m darkness, while she’s like light. She can brighten most people’s days with just a single smile or a single word, and god; she’s just wonderful.” He let out a soft sigh and plopped onto the couch. Abigail stood against the door, and he could tell disappointment was running through her veins.

“That isn’t the Liam I know,” she muttered softly as she ran her fingers through her beautiful, long curls of red hair. “He was hard-working, persistent, and he never gave up. You changed, Liam, and you can’t tell just how perfect you two are for each other. Yes, she’s marrying Harry, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get her back. She loves you, Liam, and the world rarely ever sees a love like Clarissa and yours.”

I know that it's short and all, but it's a rather important chapter.
Also, I'm just really tired. How does a sequel sound? It wouldn't be focused on Clarissa and Liam though. More on Abigail and someone else. If you can guess it, I'll tell you guys who it will be at the end of the story.

Also, it would be like amazing if I could get 100 comments by the end of this story, but if not, that's fine too since you guys are like alllllllll amazing. I love you all, and I'll put out another chapter tomorrow. Maybe. No promises.
