YOUNG BLOOD.
She invites me back to her place and having new information under my belt, I agree. She lives in a tiny apartment by herself and theres maps everywhere. The map of Africa hangs in the living room, where I'm standing.
"Evangeline and I were never super close, but we were always the ones to hang out together during family events," Arizona explains, handing me a beer. "I knew enough about her and I've gotta be honest, she never mentioned you."
I didn't expect her to.
I nod my head and ask, "Do you know what I did?"
Arizona stares at me for a second. I stare back, waiting. She slowly nods her head.
"I didn't at first because I didn't move here until after you went to prison, but people talk in this town."
"Why don't you hate me?" I ask.
Arizona gives me a smile.
"You deserve a second chance."
