This Love Shouldn't Be Legal

Melissa's POV:

We were halfway through the tour and the guys had just left to do a soundcheck.

"I love being with them, but I don't think I could do this all the time." Beth said it as soon as they were gone.

"I know what you mean." It was tough being apart from them.

"I could handle it if it was me touring. Not my husband."

"One day it will be." Beth and I assured her.

"I couldn't do that to Zach."

"He wouldn't mind at all." Beth seemed so sure.

"Have you talked to him about it?"

"Well, no. It never seemed like the right time."

"You've been married, what like 5 months now?"

"6 months tomorrow." She was blushing now.

"Talk to him. After tour is over if you want."

"Okay. I'll talk to him. Tell him it's just an idea."

"It's not an idea, it's your dream!"

"Yeah, it is. But I'ld give it up for Zach."

"Really Brooklyn?" I knew her better than this.

"No."

"Just talk to him." Beth was joining the conversation again.

"Geez, you make it seem like you already know his answer." I knew Zach pretty well, so I was 99% sure he'ld be fine with it.

"I think I know it." Finally their show ended. They did meet and greets until one in the morning and finally got on the bus.

"Zach, can I talk to you outside?"

"The bus is leaving soon."

"Zach, now." They left and came back in shortly after.

"The bus can wait."

"Brooklyn?"

"Thanks girls." She was smiling, I could tell.

"What happened there?" Mikey whispered.

"She's always had a dream of singing, but didn't want to tour. She wants to be with Zach and was afraid he wouldn't accept it."

"That's insane."

"That's what Beth and I said. As you just saw, it was insane of her."

"They have some issues."

"Don't all couples?"

"What are our issues?"

"When we first started dating I wasn't exactly of legal age."

"Do we have issues now?" I stopped whispering and over yelled my answer so everyone knew it was a joke.

"Yes, our issues now are our crazy friends."

"Go to bed!" They yelled. I snuggled into Mikey and fell asleep happy as can be. I woke up the next morning and everyone was gone.

"Guys? Where are you?" Surely they wouldn't leave without telling me. I walked outside and saw them sitting in a cafe. They stopped talking as soon as I got there.

"Hey Mel. What's up?"

"I don't know Mikey. You tell me why I woke up all alone."

"No reason. Guys, we should practice for this show more. You know how we get halfway through." They jumped up and left.

"Hey Beth, I saw a cool sports store down the street."

"I don't like sports. But Cam does." They ran. What was up with my friends? I ran into the store, I'm not that against sports.

"Beth, Brooklyn! What's going on? Why is everyone avoiding me?"

"I can't win here!"

"Brooklyn, what can't Beth win?"

"Mikey has a secret!" And they weren't telling me?

"Is he cheating on me? Does he want to break up now?"

"No! He's planning something special for your wedding."

"Oh. That's so sweet of him."

"Don't let on that you know."

"I can do that." When he came back I pretended to be mad. He said he needed to reherse and my friends were just being girls. I pretended to buy it.

"Let's plan some more for the wedding Mel." I agreed to it and let him go on believing I had no idea. In 7 months, July 17, I would find out what the suprise was. It was exciting and annoying at the same time.
