She got her first cold of the winter. He laughed when she dragged herself out of bed, looking like she was trampled by rhinos. She felt like she was trampled by rhinos.

"Get back to bed," he said, still chuckling, turning her away.

She pouted and whimpered, but obeyed. She crawled into bed and pulled the covers over her head until he came in with a tray full of breakfast.

"I know everything will taste like nothing, but at least have the tea," he said, setting the tray down and picking up the steaming mug. "My mom used to make it when Jake and I got sick. It cures like, instantly."

She took a sip of it and immediately grimaced.

He shrugged. "I didn't say it was good."

He spent the entire day taking care of her. They even popped in a movie and watched that until she fell asleep. When she randomly awoke in the middle of the night, she felt his arms around her and his breathing in her hair. She smiled and snuggled closer to him.
