We're Complete Opposites But I Still Love You

We all sat in the livingroom.
Jason held my hand on the couch.
Sam sat across from us in the loveseat.
I was secretly freaking out.

"Dad, Teal and I are dating."

It was quiet for a few minutes.
It seemed like hours.

"For how long?"

Jason looked at me then looked at Sam.

"A few weeks."
"There will be rules."
"So you' re okay with this?" I spoke up.
"Yes. And no. But that doesnt matter. There will be rules."
"Like?" Jason said.
"No sleeping in the same room. No PDA while i'm around. And NO sex under my roof. Understand?"

Sam looked back and forth between us.

"Yes." Jason and I both said.
"Good. I'm going to be in my room if you need me. Alot to process."

Sam got up and walkd into his room down the hall.
I looked at Jason.
He was smiling.
He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me.
He broke away resting his forehead on mine.

"I love you." He breathed.
"I love you too." I smiled.

Sam accepted it.
I didn't mind the rules.
Makes it more fun to break them.
