Carson Wheeler is not your average 17 year old Junior in High School. She deals with a drunken Dad that she has to care for like he's a 2 year old. Her Mom walked out on her when she was just a baby. She doesn't really have anyone that cares about her, well except her best friend Lacey. Lacey can't be there for her all the time, though.
School has always been a place Carson dreaded to go to. She just didn't like it, as much as some other kids did. She's actually pretty good at School except for Algebra. She barely passed it the first semester. Now, it's a new semester and they have a new teacher. Carson knows she's going to have to try harder if she wants to pass the 11th grade.
Zachary Baker just moved to St. Louis, Missouri for a new teaching job. It was in the beginning of January, which meant that it was cold and snowy. It was definitely a change from the nice, warm Huntington Beach he was used to.
