We were now in the car with a sleeping Alex, Nile, and Nosa.
"So now you wanna explain?"
I could tell he was still angry.
"From the beginning?"
He cut his eyes at me.
"Fine. It all started with my mom..."
I told him everything from my childhood till now.
I started crying a couple times and had to slow down or stop but after 3 1/2 hours I was done. He didn't say anything.
"Kye please speak to me..."
He opened his mouth to speak just as Nosa and Nile started waking up.
He shut his mouth again and I just shook my head
I knew I shouldn't have told him a damn thing.
We finally pulled up to some hotel and I had no idea where we were.
I took one last look at Kye and he refused to make eye contact.
I went to the trunk and grabbed me and the kids bags, leaving Kye to grap his own.
"Alex, Nosa, Nile come on."
They all hopped out an began following me, leaving Kye.
We went into the hotel and walked up to the front desk.
"Can I have a room with a California King?"
The girl at the desk couldn't be older than 20. She eyed me and the kids.
"How long?"
"4 nights."
She typed stuff on the computer and then smirked.
"50 thousand"
I pulled my black card out of my pocket and handed it to her.
She swipped it and handed me my card and a room key.
Just as the doors on the elevatore closed, I saw Kye walk in the hotel.
"What bout daddy?"
I looked down at Nosa and smiled instantly, her and Nile were holding hands.
"We'll meet up with him later."
We got to our floor and the elevatore opened.
Our room was all the way at the end of the hall.
I opened the door and fell in love with the room.
It had incredible soft white carpet, black furniture with purple as the accent color. They bedroom, kitchen, and the two bathrooms had the same color pallet.
The living room had a 85 inch TV and a Xbox already set up.
I took a picture of the set-up and sent it to Mal, Mani, and Mace.

I sat our bags in the room and went to the fully stocked fridge.
"What do yall want for dinner?"
"Grilled cheese!"
I laughed at Nile and Nosa, sitting everything I would need on the counter.
My phone vibrated and Kye's faced flashed on my phone.
"What?"
"I knew your mom.."
