Saphire looked at me with watery eyes.

"Uhm, can I go get my baby brother first."
She scrunched up her face but nodded.
I walked to the car I bought when we got here. I had my permit so I decided to buy a car, with the money mom gave me and drive to their house.
I grabbed Nile out of his car seat.

I grabbed his diper bag and closed an locked the car before grabbing his hand and walking back to the house.
"Saphire this is Nile, Nilie this is Saphy."
He nodded and walked right in the house like it was his.

We followed him and he walked out to the pool.

She giggled.

I mugged TJ.

His eyes lit up as he looked at her.
They use to be so close.
"Violent can you watch Nile while I talk to Alex?"
She nodded and scooped him up and started tickling him.
I took her to the lounge and we sat down across from each other.
"Why did you come here?"
Before she could answer, TJ busted in and sat next to her.
She rolled her eyes then continued.
"Last week my mom gave me a little jewlery box full of cash and this note."

Somebody is coming for me and daddy, someone that isn't very nice.
No matter what happens I want you to take my gold jewlery box and I want you and Nile to go to Chicago, we use to live there ya know.

Alex shook her head.
"She left this note and her and dad left. Some niggas tried to break into the house this morning so I grabbed our plane tickets and rolled out."

***One week later***
Alex had decorated Tahj's old room for her and Nile.
It was cute.
Me and Mal made breakfast with a little help from Nile.
I took them shopping yesterday and it was the craziest thing ever.
"Nilie go wake everyone up!"

He ran up stairs and I could hear him opening and closing doors while screaming at the top of his lungs.
He came down.
"All done."
I put him in his high-chair and sat his plate in front of him.
We made eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, and blueberry pancakes.

They all glared at me.
"What's worse Nilie or the music?"

I picked Nile out of his high chair and sat him on the counter.
I cleaned his face and hands.
"Nilie you wanna stay with these lames or ride with me?"

I high fived him.
I handed him to TJ and he started playing with his dreads.
I ran upstairs and packed his diaper bag.
I put extra clothes, some pull-ups, some baby bottles with juice and water, and some pacifiers.
I closed the mini fridge and threw the bag over my shoulder.
I walked to the door and grabbed his car seat.
I put the stuff in Tahj's old car.
I walked back in and Nile was standing at the front door with his arms out.
I picked him up and took him to the car, buckling him in.
I double checked and got in.
I moved the seat and turned on the radio.
Just as Work Hard, Play Hard came on I pulled out of the driveway.
We stopped at the corner where I had my encouter with Dro and Wef. As expected they were still there.
I put the roof up so they couldn't see Nile unless they were in the car.
"DRO!"
He looked at me and his eyes widened but he walked over.
"Wassup?"
"Let's ride"
He looked back at Wef and nodded. He got in the passenger seat.
Nile was sleep and quite, good cause this would be quick.

He gulped and shook his head frantically.

I took out my gun pointing it between his legs while still driving.
I didn't want Nile to see the gun if he woke up.

"C.W. stays on 34th and Thymes. And he came to see me yesterday."

He showed me a picture from a family cookout before my mom died.
"He told me to give it to you."
There were X's on my mom, Mika, Tre, Sera, and Dre's face.
I pulled up to a red light.

He sat the picture on the dashboard and slid out slowly.
Now that I know where he stays I can plan everything out.
He was going to pay.

"Let's go out for ice cream?"

"Can I get a kids chocolate in a cup and a large strawberry milkshake."
