Kali Jo Lewis is a simple girl born and raised in Victoria, Texas where her parents owned a ranch. Kali Jo is now 19 and still helping out with the ranch while attending school at the University of Huston-Victoria where she is majoring in business management. As her life moves forward Kali realizes that maybe she is missing out on the things closest to her, friends, family, and a boyfriend. She wants to spend more time with them but with only a semester left of school she can’t bring herself to leave; until the unexpected happens.

Brock Hartley is a one of a kind Texas native who happens to be the mayor’s son. He is also attending UHV, majoring in Criminal Justice, you could say his dad’s politics rubbed off on him. He has life planned out and is ready to settle down with Kelly, his girl friend of two years when he crosses paths with Kali. Is Brock really ready to give up what he already has to try and help Kali? Is he willing to risk everything to try and free her from her own walls?
