indelible: marks that cannot be removed, washed away or erased ; lasting, unforgetable, memorable
There had been so many things in my life that had left their mark. Never having a father, the only grandparents I'd ever known dying, being in that stupid accident, loosing my best friend and the boy I'd loved. These things hadn't left their mark physically - though the fire did - but emotionally and mentally. They'd all pushed me to the edge of my sanity. But this, this by far was the biggest thing to leave its mark - physically, emotionally and mentally. It was indelible, but I guess they all were.
