The Legacy of Rock N' Roll

My name is...

My name is Colby Axl (yes, like the rockstar), and I’m 15 years old. I live in California, go to a normal high school, and have the latest Apple product. My real passion though is playing guitar. I started at a young age, influenced by the many people in my family who are musicians. I’ve got white blonde hair and blue eyes, just like my dad. I sometimes wonder what my purpose is, why I’m here, why I was born, because I wasn’t supposed to be, I wasn’t planned; however, my adorable little sister was. 8 year-old little Echo Tori looks exactly like our mother, with soft hair the color of feathers and curious green eyes. Nobody knows exactly why she has black hair, seeing as how it’s not a natural color in our gene pool; everybody had dyed theirs. We think maybe all that black dye got sucked into their DNA and got spat back out into my sister. Nobody knows for sure though. Her middle name Tori is some Japanese word meaning “bird”, apparently birds had a big significance in my parents’ lives. This isn’t what you think it is, I’m not hated or anything. My sister is adorable and often gets lots of attention, but I’m okay with it because I prefer to sit back and watch. Everything works out just fine. My family is amazing, the most loving people you’d ever meet, and my extended family is the same. On the weekends I could be doing anything from practicing guitar to running a concert. I often grew up touring or watching old concerts on my little mp3 player. I feel grateful to have known these things in my life. Most people just don’t understand good rock n’ roll anymore. But one day, I’m going to change that. One day, I’m going to resurrect rock just like my mother wanted to at my age. You’re probably wondering who I am by now, having so many strange things happen in my life. I guess I should tell you. My dad is Dj Ashba.
