Anything for Mauricio
Wondering if my baby will have to leave me...
As we sat in court, I smiled to pretend I was happy. My mom and siblings all said that I would keep Mauricio because I'm a great mother but I was still worried about what the judge would decide. Aren tried to talk to me but I ignored him and waited for the judge to say who has full custody. I still never knew why Aren wanted full custody of Mauricio, he's been slacking off on taking care of him lately. I think he's even hit my baby, so I don't want to risk Mauricio growing up being hit all the time by his father. I looked at my mom and then back at the judge.
"Ms. Santos, Mr. Gueye. Both of you want full custody of Mauricio Santos-Gueye, correct?" the judge asked
"Correct." Aren and I said at the same time.
"State your reason why you would like to have Mauricio, Ms. Santos." the judge told me. I took a deep breath and said
"Mauricio means the world to me, I've been a wonderful mother to him, got him everything he needed and gave him toys and other stuff to keep him entertained. I recently took him to Brazil to meet the rest of our family and Aren called me and threatened to make my life miserable, well taking my baby away from me will definantly make my life miserable. I'd do anything for Mauricio." I told him. The judge nodded and looked at Aren,
"Mr. Gueye, state why you want full custody of Mauricio."
"Well, your honor, I never get to spend enough time with him, Iara can spend all day and all night with him but i get him every other day." Aren said. We stayed in court for a while trying to convince the judge why one of us should get Mauricio.. I hope it will be me.
