If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn

If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn

A solemn look appeared on Kellin’s face. He was looking directly at the bright full moon with his hands pushed to the rough surface of the roof. I slowly put a hand on his cheek and he carved a smile. He turned to me and held my hand for a long time. We weren’t making a single sound. Our eyes were looking at each other with our hearts beating rapidly.

My hand slowly fingered its way and touched Kellin’s hand. His soft, delicate skin created sparks between us. I looked down, afraid of what’s going to happen. He raised a finger and touched my chin, pushing it and forcing my eyes to visualize Kellin’s images once again. A ring of stars encompassed their way into the skies. I took a glance of the shining stars when Kellin’s lips grasped into mine. My eyes blurred as I pushed my lips to reply his love. Rolls of his hair touched my skin as I closed my eyes for eternity.

His soft lips was heavenly. I was drowned inside a weave of silk made of love.

It was the first kiss that we exchanged.

We parted our lips and looked at each other. I was scared of the thought that I made him felt uncomfortable and started to shift my position. Instead, he grabbed my hand and looked into my eye, “Stay for tonight. I want to show you what my dreams are made of.”

His words froze me. It has been over eighteen months since I last saw him. Everything was heaven-like. Nothing, the feeling, the emotions, nothing was as beautiful as this. I couldn’t help but to smile like a mad fool. He chuckled softly and opened his arms, signaling an incoming hug. Our bodies touched each other and I started crying softly.

“Why… Why are you crying?” His voice was cracking.

“It’s nothing… I just miss you so much. I lay awake in bed at night, thinking of your absence. My heart wasn’t growing fonder. I missed you so much, Kellin. I love you so much.” I pushed my head towards his chest, creating a small force.

He held my shoulders and pushed me backwards, enough for my face to make contact with his. Tears were rolling on my cheeks and he wiped it with his hands. “You’re my everything… The kiss, this could mean everything to me.”

I did the faintest stir and whispered, “They say that love is forever,”

He replied, “Your forever is all that I need.”

Our lips met each other and we kissed through the night.

I opened my eyes at the slightest and the bright sun shone into my eyes. I felt my waist being hugged by someone, as I smiled and turned around, finding Kellin sound asleep. I locked my arms on his and closed my eyes. The bed felt too comfy. I felt a kiss pressed onto my cheeks.
“You’ve been awake for a long time, right?” I said softly.

“You look cute when you move around in your sleep.” He giggled.

I got up as fast as I could and jumped on Kellin’s chest. We both couldn’t stop laughing.

“Hey, hey, it hurts. Ow!” Kellin laughed in pain.

I moved my body downwards, towards him and kissed him on the lips. I rested my body on him and kissed his cheeks over and over again. He slid an arm around my neck and softly caressed my hair. I gave a small kiss below his neck where his tattoo is planted on. We didn’t say a word, again. I guess our love is some sort of a silent love. I enjoyed it, at least. I heard little moans made by him and realized I pressed my body too hard, so I got up and giggled. I moved my legs and headed towards the bathroom. After brushing my teeth and stuffs, I dressed myself in decent clothes.

I and Kellin were supposed to go on a city-walk. I was feeling pretty excited, it’s been years since we last been on a date… A date, yes. I went to the kitchen and opened a pack of cereal. I heard water dripping from above my head and guessed it was Kellin showering. Once I had my breakfast, I sat on the sofa. Kellin got down with fancy clothes he’d put on. I laughed, “We aren’t going to a party Kellin!” He smirked at me and invited me out.

We got into my car and drove straight to Pumphouse Park. That place holds dear memories that we kept in our minds for so long. That day was the day where our reminiscences turn into reality. That day it all happened… so dearly.

We parked at a sidewalk and got out. Kellin breathed the fresh air and hugged me.

“It smells beautiful here. I miss it so much.”

“I miss walking here with you.”

We entered the grassy environment and saw couples expressing their love towards each other, and so we did, too. Kellin held my hand and my heart ached. We’ve been making a lot of skin contacts with each other since yesterday night, but I was really not used to it. Him not being there to hold my hand everyday… It felt so foreign. He turned to me and said, “Hey, let’s play a game.” I smiled and raised an eyebrow. He reached out his hands and I was puzzled by his actions. He put one under my butt and one on my waist, and carried me in mid-air. I laughed loudly and he kissed my lips. I pressed my lips gently and we shared love. It was all so romantic.

Kellin laughed and ran towards a small bridge with a small pond beside it, with me in his hands. The soft breeze blew me softly. I tugged my hands around Kellin, not letting him go. He put me down and we had our passionate kiss on that bridge. He looked down at the red surface of the bridge and smiled at me.

“What is it, Kellin?” I asked.

“This bridge is going to be part of our history. I’m naming it… Let Love Bleed Red Bridge.” We both couldn’t help but to laugh hysterically. It was ridiculous, the name. But it was pure romantic. Love was born once again. I laid my lips on his and we shared our five minutes of being champions. Champions of love.

I looked at the skyscraper around the scenery and one caught my eye. It was standing mightily. The windows were made of solid steels and glass, carving magnificence. I pointed a finger and said to Kellin, “Let’s go there. It looks nice.”

Kellin took my hand and smiled. We walked slowly into the busy street. The cars were driving swiftly and we couldn’t see anything clearly. The traffic light flickered in red symbolizing that we can walk, at least, safely and cross the road. A car dashed through us and I shouted. Kellin turned to the car and showed the middle finger high up in the sky. I laughed and patted his back.
We arrived in front of the skyscraper which beautified my view. It was enormous, as though it was standing high up towards heaven. Its blue glass windows reflected the rays of sun. People were going in and out from the building, wearing work clothing and carrying briefcases around. Tourists were admiring the scenery and I couldn’t agree more. The sight was beautiful.

“Hey. Are you crazy?” Kellin asked me with a broad smile on his face. I knew he was up to something.

“Crazy enough. What’s up?” I asked.

“I’m bringing you to the top. I want to show you the world.”

I couldn’t help but to smile and hugged him one last time. Soon enough, we slipped our way into the elevator and clicked on the number ‘110’. We waited at least 5 minutes for it to drive its way up to the highest floor. A few workers came in and looked at us, looking puzzled but no one talked to us.

*Ding!* the doorbell clanged. The elevator doors were wide open and the lights blinded our eyes. There were not many things around. Nobody was there and stack of papers were laid on a lot of tables. We were guessing that it was some kind of a “book store room”. Kellin grabbed my hand and pulled me to view the scenery. It was magnificent. Nothing looked as beautiful as this before. Buildings the size of peanuts were arranged in a synchronized way that made it looked beautiful.

“Th-This… This is amazing.” I gasped in awe.

“What do you think?”

I turned to him and said, “Thank you Kellin… This is literally the most beautiful thing, ever.” I turned back at the lights. A plane was flying by and I pointed it out.

“This is the closest I’ve ever been to a plane flying before!” I shouted out.

I looked at him and he smiled. I put a finger on his chin, signaling a kiss. He neared his face towards me. The very moment our lips were one inch from each other, a loud bang shocked us. It was too loud that my ears were ringing. We were shook by the loud bang and fell on the ground. It was as if we experienced a 10.0 magnitude earthquake. I looked at Kellin and he shouted something which I couldn’t hear really well, but I was positive it was, “Look there!”

I looked at the other side of the skyscraper and saw smoke and fire, as well as part of the inside of the building. I was shocked. The plane crashed inside the building. At first, I thought it was an accident, when suddenly Kellin screamed in horror.

I looked behind and a plane was heading directly towards us. I cupped both of my hands and fell behind my back. Kellin rushed towards me and grabbed me by my back before I could fall. We both closed our eyes tightly and we were ready for a second major earthquake. We shook and the tables fell and stumbled upon each other. Papers fell and the crash deafened my ears for at least 2 minutes. I smelt smoke and panicked. I shouted a silent shout, and Kellin was sweating, trying to calm me down.

“It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s gonna be all okay.” I swore Kellin was panicking too. I hugged him tightly and he hugged me back. I was crying very loudly and Kellin couldn’t help but to shed a few tears. He was a strong man. I wasn’t a strong person. I’m always weak. I pushed my face towards his chest and wet his shirt. Smoke entered the room a few minutes later.

He took off his shirt and covered my mouth with it. I got up, pulling his hand and made way to the staircase but fire burned down a few stairs below. I backed away and fell on my knees with a gigantic jaw drop on my face. More smoke entered the room and Kellin pulled my back and dropped me on the corner of the building.

“T-This… This isn’t happening.” I repeated a lot of times. My train of thoughts was blocked; I didn’t have anything else in my mind. It was destructive. Everything seemed too out-of-reality to believe.

“We’re gonna make it… We’re gonna make it…” Kellin wasn’t speaking properly. I looked at him and shouted, “Don’t Kellin! Please don’t. Please stay. Please stay.”

“I’m sorry I brought you here… I… I…”

“Please stay, Kellin. Don’t, Kellin. Don’t leave me, Kellin…” I shook his collar a lot of times desperately.

“Hey… They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need…”

“Kellin, please stop this. Kellin. I need you, Kellin.” I screamed in tears.

“Can’t promise that things won’t be broken… But I swear that I will never leave.”

“Please stay… Forever with me, Kellin.”

He looked at me with his rueful eyes.

“If I’m James Dean… You’re…” I wiped my tears in my face and said calmly, “Audrey Hepburn…”

The roofs cracked in a blink of an eye and concrete fell onto the ground, making massive black holes that created an abyss of destruction and we fell inside it. Gulped inside Earth’s core forever.

It was on the eleventh of September. My birthday.
