Loneliness

Thud!

The sound of her bag as she dropped it on the floor rang through the empty house. She had just come home from school and like always, there was no one to greet her back home. Sometimes, she wished she never came home in the first place. There was always no one there and she has always been alone. She’s so used to being alone that it won’t startle her if one day, her parents moved and didn’t bring her along.

Only the loneliness doesn’t end there. It visits her in school, and it stalks her pretty much everywhere, forcing her to go to sleep facing her darkest dreams. Sometimes, she wishes the feeling would just stop, that someday, she’d be able to look up and say that someone found her and treated her as a friend.
