Sixteen and Pregnant by a Werewolf

Ch 23: Regrets

“ I think I got you in trouble.” Jeremy whispered.

I didn’t say anything. I just stared at my parents and Stephan. My eyes locked onto Lycann’s instantly and I could see how mad he was. I sighed and turned to Jeremy.

“ Nice meeting you.” I said.
“ You act like this will be the last time.” He said.
“ It will be the last time!” Lycann shouted.
“ We’ll see.” Jeremy said and walked back to the restaurant.

Before he could walk inside, Lycann stopped him. I walked over to them and stood in between them.

“ Nothing happened.” I told him. “ He just came outside to check up on me.”
“ For what?” Lycann growled.
“ Because he cared.” I said.

Jeremy smirked and walked back into the restaurant. I turned back to Lycann, who was just staring at me.

“ You act like we’re married.” I said.
“ You guys are going to get married.” Clayton said.
“ No, we’re not.” I said. “ I don’t want to marry him.”
“ You’re having his babies.” Amy said. “ Why wouldn’t you want to marry him?”
“ Because, I don’t want to get married.” I said.
“ Why not?” Mom asked. “ You’re basically married to him now.”
“ Whatever.” I said, then walked off in the opposite direction.
“ Angel!” Lycann shouted. “ Where are you going?!”
“ Leave me alone, Lycann!” I shouted.
“ I’m coming with you!” I heard Stephan shout.

Before I could say something, Stephan was right on the side of me. He put his arm around me and I felt comfort immediately. As soon as we got to the closet park, I sighed and took a seat on the nearby bench. Stephan sat next to me and looked up at the sky.

“ What’s wrong?” He asked me.
“ I don’t know, brother.” I said. “ I think I made a mistake by dating Lycann.”
“ Why you say that?”
" I don't want to be with him like that. I just want to date him and that's it. No marriage with him."

I looked at my hands and my brother sighed deeply.

“ You’re carrying his kids, but you don’t want to marry him.” Stephan said.

I nodded my head and he shook his head.

“ That doesn’t make any sense at all.” He said.
“ I know.” I said. “ I wish i could start over from the beginning.”
“ I think you should’ve thought about it.”
“ I know.”

Stephan and I sat for an hour without talking. We were just enjoying the humid air and the beautiful light that came from the moon. I got up and stretched. Stephan looked at me and got up as well.

“ Are you ready to go back?” He asked me.
“ I’m ready.” I said. “ I’m getting sleepy.”

He smiled and we walked back to the restaurant.
