A Little Piece of Heaven
Old Photo
‘Okay class I want you do get an old photo from when you were little and recreate it’ our photography teacher told us
‘How would we do that?’ one of the students asked
‘Well say it’s a photo of you at the beach in the sand when you were little you get that photo and take a photo of you now in the sand doing the same thing you were doing in the original photo’ he told us we all agreed and he let us think of a photo we could do again.
‘This is going to be fun’ Avyanna told me
‘Have you thought of the photo you are going to do?’ I asked her
‘Yeah this one’ she said grabbing a photo out of her purse and showing me.
It was of her and Brian when she was about 4 they were in the sand making sand castles it was a cute photo,
‘That’s a cute photo’ I told her
‘Yeah I know, how about you? do you know what photo you’re going to do?’ she asked
I sat there and thought for a second before I grabbed my bag and looked for a book, once I found it I went to the middle of it and grabbed the photo.
‘You keep that in your song book’ she asked smiling.
It was a photo of Corbin and I when we were about 5 and we were just sitting there when my mum wanted to take a photo of us and when she was just about to take the photo Corbin kissed my cheek.
It was such a cute photo I always had it with me, its just a good memory to keep a hold of.
‘The only problem is Corbin’ I told her
‘How’s he the problem?’ she asked
‘Well I have to ask him if I would do that photo with me’
‘Honey if it means spending time with you I’m sure he will’ she said smiling I just shook my head at her
‘Ask him when we get to mine’ she told me I just nodded agreeing with her. The rest of the day went pretty fast and I was getting kind of nervous when I got to Avyanna house cause sooner or later I had to ask Corbin if he would do the photo with me and it had to be soon rather than later because the photo was due next Monday.
‘Mum is Corbin home yet?’ Avyanna yelled out
‘No remember he has practice today so he wont be home till 5’ Mackenzie called out
‘Okay thanks’
I sighed in relief I didn’t have to ask him just yet.
‘Really you that nervous to ask him?’ Avyanna asked
‘Well I’m not exactly in his good books right now’ I told her putting my bag down.
‘What do you mean by that?’
‘Well he always seems to be pissed off at me’
‘That’s because when ever he sees you Ronnie is here’ she told me
‘True and he thinks I like Ronnie’ I said giving her an glance she just smirked and laughed putting her hands up
‘It had nothing to do with me’ she said still laughing
‘Oh no nothing at all’ I told her
We went to the lounge room and talked about school stuff when Peyton walked into the room with Duston behind him.
‘How can we help you?’ Avyanna asked
‘We got bored and needed some entertainment’ Peyton told us
‘I bet you weren’t bored a few seconds ago’ Avyanna mumbled I started giggling and Peyton gave us the evils and sat down next to us, we told Duston to pick a movie.
He got a DVD out and put it in the DVD player and then sat down we waited for it to come on and next thing we know Avyanna, Peyton, Corbin and I can on the screen.
‘Oh no that’s us when we were little’ I said
‘Yous look so cute’ Duston told us
‘We were at the beach in this one’ Peyton told him
“Let’s go in the water” I heard Avyanna say then we all yelled okay and you could see us running into the water with our dads waiting for us.
Then suddenly it changed to something else, it was quiet for a second then the sound came on the DVD and it was us again just older, junior year to be exact.
We were watching a movie sleeping beauty to me exact; Corbin and I were cuddling on one side of the couch while Peyton and Avyanna were next to us.
‘This is boring’ Peyton whined
‘Let’s go do something’ Peyton said grabbing Avyanna and walked out of the room that’s when the DVD stopped.
‘Wait was that when you and Corbin kissed?’ Avyanna asked me
‘Um no’ I said looking away
‘It was to because that was in junior year and yous were watching sleeping beauty’ she said smirking at me
‘Whatever’ I mumbled crossing my arms over my chest
I heard the front door open and saw Corbin walk through it.
Well its now or never.
