Epilogue - 2 Years Later
Lister was piloting on the Starbug when an unexpected visitor returned.
“Hey Lister.”
“Rimmer! What are you doing back here?”
“Aah I was getting bored of all the adventuring, and saving people, and all that.”
“Really? Well since you left there’s not been a single mention of the Space Corps Directive.”
“Wow, not even Kryten?”
“Nope.”
Awkward silence.
“How’s things with Kochanski?”
“Not too bad actually.” Lister sighed.
“It doesn’t sound like it.”
“Yeah…” Lister trailed off, looked Rimmer deep in the eyes, and spontaneously stood up and gave him a big big bear hug.
“I’ve missed ya, man!”
“I’ve missed you too, Listy!!”
They were both on the verge of tears at this point. They looked each other deep in the eyes again, and before they could stop themselves, they shared their first passionate kiss in a long time.
