”Not so tough now are you?” Barton asks me as he pushes me down onto a chair in the interrogation room.
“SHIELD has taken away the love of my life, so what point do I have on fighting?’ I glare at him as he cuffs me to the table.
“I told you, we have nothing to do with Bucky’s disappearance.” Natasha says just as Steve and Anna walk into the room. “Now, Steve and Anna are going to stay in here to make sure you don’t escape again.” With that the two master assassins walk out of the room, leaving me with the super soldier and my twin sister.
“You know if you turn in Winter Soldier, I’m sure SHIELD will go easy on you.” Steve says, breaking the agonizing silence.
“Can’t and won’t do that Captain.” I tell him. “And like I told you before, I’m sure if you knew him you wouldn’t either.”
“I know nothing about the guy besides the fact he’s a killing machine with no heart.” Steve says, defending himself.
“SHIELD really hasn’t told you much about Winter Soldier, have they?” I question, a smirk forming on my lips. If I can get the Captain America to start questioning, I’ll be able to get what I want; destruction.
“I know what you’re thinking Natalya and you can’t do this.” Anna says, as if she’s reading my mind. “I’m not going to let you take down SHIELD.”
“And even after everything they did to our mother?” I question her as Steve’s eyes widen at the fact I said ‘our’ instead of ‘mine’. “Maybe we really aren’t related; because if we were I’m sure you’d want to get back at the agency that killed our mother.”
“SHIELD has done a lot of good.” She says, trying to defend her place of employment. “Natayla, just do as Fury says; he’ll go easy on you.”
“No, you’ll uncuff me and let me search for my boyfriend.” I demand. “If I find Bucky, I’ll find whoever is behind this. And I’m pretty fucking sure it’ll be SHIELD or maybe even the council.”
“We’re not letting you our ma’am.” Steve sternly says. “I’m sure your boyfriend is just fine; what was his name again?”
“James Barnes; better known as Buck.” I tell him, causing his eyes to widen once more. “He was part of the 107th; you’re best friend. He didn’t die when he fell from the train, Steve. He was frozen and then later dug up by the Russians where he was trained to be an assassin. For awhile they’d kept him in suspended animation until he was needed; then he got away.”
“You’re lying; Bucky died there was no way he could survived it…” Steve says, trying to reason with himself.
“He believes he was experimented on; you did find him in a lab, didn’t you?” I question. “Get me out of here and you’ll be able to be reunited with your best friend. But first we’ve got to find out who took him and why.”
“Do you have any ideas on who could be after him or even you for that matter?” Anna questions me.
“I’ve got a few leads but first you’ve got to get me out of here.” Anna looks to Steve and deep down I’m hoping they let me out of here. I need to find Bucky before it’s too late…
