Don't hold me down, I think my braces are breaking, and it's more than I can take.
It was summer once more, the month of July and August were brightening ahead of her. Lilly was drifting along life.
She didn’t check her horoscope as much anymore.
She hasn’t had a fortune cookie since either.
Losing Elijah was like losing her faith, her believing.
“Honey, we need to get you out there again.” Marley announced one day. Lilly was making fruit salad, and she stopped mid-peel of an apple.
“No.” she said quietly, and carried on.
“Lilly…” Marley began, but Lilly looked up and gave a firm look.
“I’m not ready Marley. Elijah was my first love, you can’t expect me to get over it so quickly.” She snapped slightly, and Marley went quiet.
Lilly wasn’t the same anymore.
