To Write Love on Her Arms

Walls

'She's out of control, so beautiful, LOST IN STEREO, LOST IN STEREO, I've been waiting
for so long but she'll never know!'
"Vic, why are you singing All Time Low to her?" A voice asked quietly, as if he could
wake her. "I read Katie's journal, she loves...loved.....FUCK!How could this happen,Mikey?
HOW?" Vic's outburst causing the other occupants to jump and glare.
'She was right there, within reach. I could have saved her, Mikey. I could have told her
she meant something to someone. That even if she loss hope to find her faith in us, in me. I
..What if she isn't the only one that I could have saved?' Vic's brown orbs glistening with
a sadness Mike had never seen.
"We all wish we could have saved her. I wish I had found her on facebook or Twitter
or something. You aren't only one,Vic. Tony blames himself for having met her first and
not having the chance to find her. We ALL blame ourselves, even fucking Hime.' Mike
rubbed his brother's back as Vic buried his face in his hands. In the moment both Fuentes
knew the other's pain, the tragedy was something neither could express vocally. Afterall how
do you explain to the outside world something even you do not understand.
Mikey's mind wondered back a few night's prior when Vic's twitter had recieved a
picture. It happened in a rare nonchaotic moment, when Vic wasn't getting tons of Retweets
or tweets from fans. The tweet had been from FurBabyMama, someone he had never heard
of. Vic opened it without a question, he had been praying for an answer and hoped that was
it. The picture had been one of the large calico resting in Tony's lap at that moment and the
pretty girl he knew to be Katie. The caption had read 'Thank you for the greatest gift you
could ever give me. ' Vic's had began yelling for the others when he realized what was
happening.
All three men rushed to Vic's side, examing the picture. The picture was being held
by a small delicate hand to the window, that was obvious, but closely observing the photo
Jaime noted the sign in the background. A large billboard for 'Piercen's Jewelry' hung outside
the window. Without a moment's notice, each of the guys ran off the bus asking whoever
they could where that sign was.
Tony was the first to get an answer, darting off in the direction he was told; the
others hot on his heels. Mike could remember Tony skidding to a stop in front of the sign
causing himself,Vic, and Jaime to slide to a stop as well. The sign was obviously the same
as the one in the tweet but figuring out the apartment Katie lived in would prove to be
a new challenge.
From the image the four men guessed a 2nd floor apartment in the one residentual
building on the dark street, bolting up the staircase did not mean finding the apartment
with easse. There were 3 apartments facing the billboard and without alarming anyone, how
could they chose correctly? The men froze, silence filling the hallway. There was not
much time and Jaime could feel it so he made a decision that could change the fate
of everyone.
Jaime yelled into the quiet air the one thing he knew would grab Katie's attention.
He shouted 'CatCat needs you!' The bassist knew the woman did not value her own life but
the life of her pet seemed to be priority or at least he hoped. For what felt like a century,
though only a brief few moments, the four men waited for a response and with a relief they
got one: a muffled slamming noise was heard.
Mike's heart pounded as he remmebered kicking in the door keeping him from the
sound and rushing in. The eerie silence in the tiny apartment nearly suffocating him as
they searched for a sign, any sign, of the woman they seeked. The bile rising in his throat
as he thought of Tony's startled yell from the bedroom and the scene it lead to. The young woman hanging by her neck, eyes closed, still so very still.
As clear as Mikey remembered the events leading up to finding Katie, he could not find a memory of who called 911 or who took her down. He didn't know if any words were spoken to the EMTs as they arrived or on the way to the hospital. All Mike knew after finding her was he felt numb very numb.

First:Thank you to each and everyone of you reading. Second:This chapter goes out to all of you who suffer with feeling alone. Never give up! On that note I would like to say this:Some time ago I received a message from a young reader thanking me. I could not understand why I was being praised until it was explained to me by said reader that this story, the story that I was using as my own version of therapy, was helping them. I want to dedicate this chapter specifically to that reader, you know who you are and I hope you realize you are not alone.
One last thing:If anyone knows how to format the chaps so I don't have to go back in and fix their spacing please message me.
