Common Prince

The country is in desperate need of a male heir. Alyla, Queen of the small land, is weak and may not be able to deliver the next in a line of kings. King Shawne is growing old, and may not live long to rule the country. Meanwhile, outer forces threaten the country's prosperity: a war rages just outside the borders, and famine touches the land owned by the recently freed serfs. Nobles argue amongst themselves, debating over the king to follow Shawne, and those with faith in the ruling family hope desperately for an heir.
