Into The Distance
I needed to sort this out, i breathed in a deep breath and walked back into the bus. As i walked in to the front seating area, i was greeted by Mike, he stood in front of me not quite sure what to do. "Listen. I am so sorry, i never meant to...." he apoligized.
"It's fine. I am sorry too, we were just caught up in the moment. I still love David and you made me laugh for the first time in ages." i sighed.
"I know you love David a monkey could see that Lauren. I just don't want this to be the end of our friendship."
I gave Mike a small smile "I don't either, let's just pretend this never happened okay?" i sighed. Mike smiled and just then Tony, Jaime and Vic came bounding in the bus. They all said hello and gave me a quick hug. "You want a drink Lauren?" Jaime asked pouring everyone a drink. I shot Mike a quick glance and he smiled. "Yeah why not."
I only had a couple of drinks, i still couldn't stop thinking of David. What was he doing? Was he missing me or has he forgotten about me? Things between me and Mike were no longer awkward and it really was like nothing happened. I told the guys i was going to go for a walk and i that i would be back soon.
I walked past the busses and i couldn't help but hope that none would see me. I pulled the hood of my hoodie up and kept my head low. "Lauren!" i heard from behind me. I quickly turned around and David ran upto me. "I knew it was you. Your back, have you thought about what i said? I miss you baby." he sighed.
I couldn't help but smile, i really did miss him. "Yeah. But David there is something i need to tell you." i said seriously.
"No Lauren don't do this don't say it's over,i love you so..."
I shook my head and grabbed his hands in mine. "David just let me speak.Please." i smiled at him. "I have done something stupid and i don't know if you will want me." i sighed. David started to look confused and worried. "I..I.. kissed Mike. I am so sorry, it didn't mean anyhting. I don't know what i was thinking." i admitted. David let go of my hands and his eyes started to glisten as he held back tears. "Was this some sort of way to get back at me?" He said in a raised voice.
"No David it wasn't like that, we both made a mistake. David please."
"No Lauren it killed me when you thought i cheated on you, and then you went and did it me." he shouted shaking his head.
David turned his back on me and started to walk away. That was it he hated me, i had lost him. "David please!" i shouted at him, but he continued to walk into the distance.
