Amnesia
"well if you ask me she's lucky to only have amnesia." said the doctor.
"ugh… okay thanks so much," Billy said to the doctor.
"most of her memory should return quickly but she may have permanently forgotten a couple things," the doctor remarked. He nodded and left the room.
She approached me, "well where to start. I'm Billy. We're room mates and we both work at a stupid little dinner with a cheap ass boss. I took you out clubbing for the first time about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Ummm… your name is Kristi and you recently turned 21."
"okay," I replied. This was easy enough to take in.
"you were recently in a car crash and that’s why you're in the hospital, but the doctor says you can leave in a couple days," Billy replied eagerly.

I was being carefully steered out of the hospital on a wheel chair. When we got out of the front doors I had to shield my eyes from the light.
I got up and opened the door to Billy's car.
"hey," she said in her familiar cheery mood.
"hey," I replied.
We drove back in silence as took in the foreign world around me.
